Cross-Evaluation: A Method for Developing and Evaluating Team Projects
Luc Blanchette, who teaches psychology at the CÉGEP de Trois-Rivières, proposes a model for evaluating team projects he calls “cross-evaluation”. The problem with team projects as an educational activity in a summative-evaluation context lies, on one hand, in the analysis of individual contributions and, on the other, in the recognition of the joint effort and pooling of student knowledge. The model can help reach these different goals and optimize the chances for fairly evaluating team projects.
