Four educational advisors from the CÉGEP Limoilou describe the main characteristics of its professional-integration program, which is governed by the college’s human-resources management policy and intended for teachers with less than two years’ experience. In addition to helping establish participants’ professional identity, the program gives teachers an opportunity to develop teaching and evaluation tools, as well as instructional approaches and classroom-management strategies. In short, enhancing the support system for teachers lies at the heart of the program, and helps participants better play their role with students.
